Congratulations to LiP brand ambassador Anke Brandt for setting a new world record for the longest distance kitesurfed by a woman!

Kiting for 17 hours and 298 km, Anke was breaking her own previous world record of 250 km. Accompanied by a support boat – and eyes protected by her Typhoon – she could have gone even further, unfortunately deteriorating weather conditions forced her to stop at that point, for this time! She will soon take on another attempt of completing the whole originally planned distance of 550 km from Bahrain to Abu Dhabi.

The goal of the mission was to raise $5,500 for ‘Wings for Life’, a charity organisation that focuses on finding a cure for spinal cord injury through on-going research.” Donations can still be made through Anke’s website.
