Crafting highly powered prescription lenses into a curved frame is technically very difficult due to the distortion that is caused especially in peripheral vision. Individuals with prescriptions over -4.00 or +3.00 are often advised to choose inserts which are unsuitable for watersports use as they tend to be heavy and water inevitably gets trapped between the lens and the insert.
Through tried and tested algorithms, our highly skilled lens crafters are able to accommodate combined SPH + CYL readings of up to +5/-7.
